Married: Briana + Dennis

Briana and Dennis were the third of my weddings last weekend. They were married on Sunday at the Great Overland Station in Topeka, Kansas. Briana and Dennis are both in the Air Force and are presently based in Alaska. So they traveled a long way home for their wedding! Just like the entire weekend, they had beautiful sunny weather on their big day. Briana told me before the ceremony that she was told it is good luck if a train passes when you are getting married (the Great Overland Station being Topeka’s historic rail station with tracks passing immediately behind the building) – sure enough, right in the middle of the ceremony, a train rumbled by!

Married: Amanda + Drew

I’ve known Amanda for a while through a mutual friend. Naturally, I was super flattered when she asked me to shoot her wedding. I met Drew a while later at a restaurant while at (imagine that!) my best friend’s rehearsal dinner. I thought “what a cute couple!” I think you all will agree as you browse through the images from their wedding last Friday. Not only will you agree with that, but I think you will agree that Amanda is a SMOKING hot bride. I mean, I took one glance at some of the images below and thought to myself, “shut up!” Amanda you looked gorgeous! The venue was the Uptown Theater, which was uber photogenic. I hope to shoot at this venue much more in the future!

I have all exhibitors posted to my proofing site, including the Prix St. Georges and Missouri State Games awards presentations (those folders are at the very end of the gallery). Thanks to everyone who has already placed orders, and for those of you who haven’t been to the proofing site yet, go take a look! This was a fun, albeit large show and it is going back on our calendar for 2010. And speaking of calendar – show managers, if you are interested in booking me for your show in 2010, give me a shout. I will be sending out packets to a few show managers shortly with 2010 information, but the wedding inquiries are rolling in at a steady pace for next year already, so act now to secure your date if you want it!

Below are a few images from the show. I couldn’t even begin to select ALL of my favorites for the blog, as there were a LOT of images to sort through from the weekend.

I just literally got home and am already beginning editing – so exhibitors, be patient and keep checking my main website (click the proofing link!) regularly as I will be posting riders by alphabetical order, last name. I should have all riders up no later than Thursday evening – as I have three, count ‘em THREE weddings next weekend!

I hope I was able to photograph all of the exhibitors who wished to be photographed. I’ll have a full-blown blog on the show up shortly with some of my favorite shots from the weekend, but here’s a sneak preview for you of Nicole Bellah and the lovely Sydney, winners of Saturday night’s Prix St. Georges Jackpot. After the Wedding: Audrey + Jordan

You all might remember Audrey and Jordan’s wedding photos from two weeks ago. They were married on the hottest day of the year so far, in an unairconditioned chapel. Everyone was toast after the formals – so we spent a few minutes on bride and groom shots, but I wanted them to have a lot more than the oppressing heat would allow. We agreed to do an “after-shoot” of sorts here in KC, and that was accomplished last night in much more temperate weather. You saw the sneak preview this morning, here’s the whole story this evening! As usual, I had an incredibly hard time narrowing down images for the blog. So you are getting a whole 30 of them – and I don’t even feel these tell the whole story! Audrey, Jordan and the whole wedding party were real troopers for dealing with the hand that was dealt them last Saturday in the weather department – heat indices reaching 110 with actual temperatures topping 100. No sweat you say? Yeah right! The ceremony venue was the incredibly gorgeous but unairconditioned Cottey College Chapel in Nevada, Missouri. Thank you, Audrey, for putting on your game face for a handful of bridal shots and some shots with Jordan in the kick butt Cougar convertible after the ceremony. I know it was miserable but you could never tell looking at the pictures!

Congratulations, you two.
