Warning: 56k overload below. This is a BIG post. But probably because I shot Pam and Rudy’s day for over 12 hours – that makes a lot of pictures. And probably because we spent over 2 hours JUST doing bride and groom shots before the ceremony. And another hour doing wedding party shots and MORE bride and groom shots. We were ALL OVER Kansas City.
But that’s not the whole story. The cool thing about this wedding was how intimate it was, how much family was involved in the day. I truly felt like I got to know everyone, even if just a bit. And that makes me really smile – I feel really involved. And wow, did this family travel – much of Pam’s family is in the Northeast (where she grew up) and her parents traveled in from Canada. Rudy’s mom won the prize for furthest distance traveled – the Dominican Republic!
Even though the reception (held in Rudy and Pam’s backyard) was intimate, it was definitely still a PARTY. I have never seen such dance moves! The whole reception made me..I don’t know, smile?
Enough gushing about this couple and their families, though. I know why you are really here – PICTURES!

Pam will probably kill me for posting this shot. But I LOVE it!

I say this about all my brides, of course, but stunning. Just wait ’til you see a bridal shot later in the post!

Pam and Rudy wanted to allow a ton of time for bride/groom shots. With nearly two hours at our disposal, and then another hour with the bridal party, we got some great locations and great shots in. I’ll open up with this crazy shot of Pam. It was windy, but if you’re patient, that can be an awesome thing. Hello, gorgeous!

I always laugh when I see people type out “rawr”, but this photo deserves it.

Maybe this one too.

Love the parasols. LOVE them!

Another shot where the wind worked well for us.

Pam and Rudy’s first dance was KILLER.

Rudy and his mom tore up the floor, too.

…aaaand then so did the family and wedding party.

And a sunset shot for good measure.
