I met Glori and Toby at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art late one afternoon about a week and a half ago; before the snow hit, before the bottom fell out on the temperatures. It was actually a mild afternoon! The light was glorious on the lawn at the Nelson; even more, these two were so into each other and the session. Light, laughter, love, what more could a portrait photographer want? We then headed to the Plaza branch of the Kansas City Public Library; Glori had said we could leave the stop out if we ran short on time (they really wanted to finish with a shot with the lights on the Plaza) – I’m glad we didn’t as these two are admitted bookworms and the setting was SO fun. I love working couples’ interests into their sessions – and although I was a bit worried about shooting in the library, the security guard smiled and winked at us as she walked by.
