Kassy + Cody: (a snowy!) Kansas City engagement session

Kassy and Cody drove down from Iowa for their engagement session last Thursday while I was praying I was going to get into KCI on a flight from the WPPI convention in Las Vegas. I landed in the middle of the snowstorm; Kassy and Cody made it safely and we were able to get their session in. We shot half of the session on Friday (waiting as long as we could for the roads to clear; they were horrible a good part of the day) in the gorgeous fields and woods surrounding my subdivision (I’m lucky!) and half of the session on Saturday in the city. We split the session not only due to the late-clearing roads on Friday, but yours truly was (and still is!) suffering from a super long bout of the flu and, well, I’m a bit puny! Most people wouldn’t think the gray skies and fresh snow would be optimal shooting conditions; however, the brand-new, wet snowfall stuck to EVERYTHING and boy was it gorgeous. Now? Mostly gone. 🙂 Cody was home from a deployment and we had a narrow window to work with before he had to head back overseas. I wanted to get this blogged before he heads back out so guys…here you go! Everyone else – you’ll see these two again in September on the blog when they are MARRIED!!!

(warning, this couple is so freaking CUTE!)
