When the sister of one of my brides contacted me to do a newborn session for her new little one, Madelyn, I came armed with friend and fellow photographer Nicole Gravatt (you all may remember her as one of the subjects of my Nevada desert shoot last winter!) as an assistant. Since I mainly shoot couples and Nicole is a newborn veteran, she was an invaluable help in getting little Madelyn to settle and be a great subject. (we won’t mention that she got pooped on!
