2010 – the year in pictures

2010 is officially in the books – and I could go back and count my shoots – I think I’d scare myself, though! I shot 39 weddings and by my best guess, around 125 portrait sessions. It was a FANTASTIC year for business – maybe a bit TOO much so – in 2011 I’ll be giving almost all of my concentration to weddings and the associated engagement sessions, and scaling back the portrait work. Still, I enjoyed my time with each and every client and I thank all of you for trusting me to capture your memories.

I could go on for paragraphs about 2010 – it was an extremely rewarding and yes, even trying year – a year that I worked harder than I ever have in my life and the year that I realized that no matter how hard I try, no matter how hard I work, I can always get better, I can always learn more, I will have plenty of people who love my work and yes, I will even have some that don’t. I learned that being a business owner is HARD yet it is a labor of love.

Below are a few selections from the past year. These are BY NO MEANS all of my favorites. Not even close. I don’t know that I’d call these favorites, in fact, because I had to cut so many to get this thing to a manageable level. I wish I could include shots from every shoot and I trimmed out so many I wanted to keep – but here is a look back at 2010, as we look forward to 2011.
