Hello all! September, October, and the first half of November are RIGHT around the corner and that stretch is my busiest time of the year, by far. Historically I have shot 75% of my annual portrait sessions IN THIS STRETCH ALONE. I book up extremely early for especially October, and this year is no different. September, at the time of this post, has more availability than October does, and I anticipate that October may be fully booked by some time shortly after Labor Day. November is a gorgeous time of year to shoot as well, especially early in the month before the last of the fall color is gone. My October 11th mini session day is almost completely booked. Right now I have two mini session slots left – 1pm and 2pm. If you would like to snag either, please send me an email ! I am considering adding a second, half-day of mini sessions on November 1st….but this is not a guarantee until I fill the October 11th date. For my regular sessions, whether it be family, engagement, senior or otherwise, I have a defined list of the dates and times I have remaining in September, October and November that are still available; if you are interested in booking, please feel free to email me for this list! Once they are gone, they are gone and I am booked for the fall season, so jump on it! You can view my pricing on each respective sub-site of my main site, so follow the links below!

Again, I expect to be fully booked for fall very shortly, so if you are even considering a session please shoot me an email! Enjoy this weather!

Ella’s session started a bit late in the evening due to her work schedule, so we did something a bit non-traditional and lit up some dusk/night shots for the last stretch of her session. I ended up being in love with those images! Just a reminder that if you don’t think you have enough time for a weeknight session, whether it be for a senior session or an engagement session, you just may after all 😉 I’ve developed a bit of a reputation for night shots and off-camera lighting, so if you’d like shots like the few at the end, we can by all means schedule appropriately! And speaking of schedule, it’s not too early to get your 2016 seniors on the calendar. I’ll be releasing a BRAND new series of websites early next week with easy-to-find pricing and I’m super excited about my new look…so stay tuned!

Congratulations to Ella – I absolutely loved her smile and her laugh throughout this session…positively infectious!

This evening brings Tanesha’s sunny senior session to the blog. We had a great time exploring Parkville and I absolutely love this girl’s style! Her session really reminded me how much I enjoy photographing high school seniors.

On that note, I have room for 1 or 2 more seniors in teh next week to two weeks before we get too close to graduation. Interested? Drop me an email . If you have a senior for 2016, it’s not too early to plan! I typically start booking sessions over the summer and through the fall. Though I always have some spring sessions as well, I have to limit these so I have time to edit the galleries and get everyone taken care of in time to order prints and such for graduation…so it’s best to plan ahead. You can download my senior flyer here.

Here are Tanesha’s wonderful images!

Hannah N | Liberty Missouri senior portraits

November 27th, 2012

Hannah met me a week and a half ago for her senior portraits – we had a gorgeous morning to shoot around the studio and downtown Liberty Square area. Hannah is quite the athlete (and accomplished one at that!) – just look at that letter jacket! (you should try to pick it up!)

Nick J | Kansas City Crossroads senior portraits

November 15th, 2012

Meet Nick, an awesome hockey player from Rockhurst with one AWESOME car. I had a lot of fun shooting around the Crossroads with Nick (if you could SEE some of our outtakes!) and here’s just a sampling of what we came away with!

I met Madi recently to shoot her senior portraits at a few familiar areas around Kansas City. We had a gorgeous 80 degree day and a lot of fun! Her smile is absolutely infectious. Enjoy!

Tabitha S | from Texas to Wisconsin for her senior session!

I’ve known Tabitha for a few years; her family also vacations in Wisconsin at the fly-in that my husband Jim and I attend each year. Still, I was honored when she contacted me a few weeks before our trip this year to see if I could do her senior portraits while we were up there. I thought logistically it might be kind of *fun* doing senior photos while we are all camping, but with a few minutes borrowed in a travel trailer of another fly-in attendee to primp and do makeup, we were set! What fun this was. Tabitha’s family life is strongly rooted in aviation, so she wanted a large part of her session to revolve around it. That was easy; we were camping at an airport! So, our location for the shoot was none other than the New Holstein Municipal Airport in New Holstein, Wisconsin. We picked a nice cool evening for the session that gave us some incredible light; the weather was on and off hot and stormy so we had to carefully choose a good evening! (the pig roast on Wednesday that draws hundreds of town folk to the airport and our fly-in probably was not going to be one of them). Tabitha is a bright, sweet girl with plans to go into the Navy – and I’m sure whatever she does, she’ll be incredibly successful. Tabitha, here’s your sneak peek and hope to see you again soon!
