Melissa, Sherry and Morgan: a 3-generation Mother’s Day portrait session

May 24th, 2012

When Melissa contacted me to do a 3-generation shoot with her mother and her daughter, I was super excited not having done one of these before. We met in Parkville, Missouri for their portrait session the day after Mother’s Day (how appropriate) – such gorgeous light we had! I last shot Morgan in the fall […]

the Lippman family

May 13th, 2011

the Lippman family did a mini-session with me at English Landing Park in Parkville, Missouri last week on a SUPER WARM (read: 94 degrees by my car’s thermometer!) day. Funny as we’d rescheduled the shoot 3 times due to cold and/or rain! Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum! Darcy and Jeramie and children Jeslyn, […]

Funny as we’d rescheduled the shoot 3 times due to cold and/or rain! Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum! Darcy and Jeramie and children Jeslyn, Jaiden, Jeron and Jaxon (just try to keep those straight! 🙂 ) were SUCH a delightful family and as you can tell, we had some fun!! Who says family portraits always have to be stuffy? Enjoy the color, sunlight, and smiles!

Tiffany F: senior portraits | Parkville, Missouri

March 28th, 2011

I called Tiffany the morning of her senior session: “are you SURE you want to do your session? We can reschedule, I know it’s cold out there.” See, 48 hours earlier it was EIGHTY DEGREES. The morning of Tiffany’s senior portraits, it was 29. Poor girl! But no, she was determined to press on and […]

The morning of Tiffany’s senior portraits, it was 29. Poor girl! But no, she was determined to press on and what a tough cookie! Despite the cold and overcast skies, we got some great, great stuff….kinda hard not to, Tiffany is SUCH a cutie! And she marks my first official senior session of 2011. 🙂

Brick family portrait session | Parkville, Missouri

November 27th, 2010

The Brick family lucked out and got a 60+ degree day for their family portrait session at English Landing Park in Parkville, Missouri…which this time of year, boils down to exactly that, pure LUCK! What a good looking clan and Morgan? What a little CUTIE!! (she was sooooo good while we did have her attention, […]

Melton family portrait session | English Landing Park, Parkville, Missouri

October 20th, 2010

I met Lori, Dan and a VERY exuberant Ella on a gorgeous late afternoon in Parkville last week. My clients who managed to get sessions scheduled this month are so blessed to have such wonderful weather! (I just wish I could have fit everyone in that wanted a session!) I met Lori, Dan and a VERY exuberant Ella on a gorgeous late afternoon in Parkville last week. My clients who managed to get sessions scheduled this month are so blessed to have such wonderful weather! (I just wish I could have fit everyone in that wanted a session!) I thought Lori and Dan’s names sounded familiar, and I thought they looked familiar – turns out, Dan graduated from the same high school as me (Excelsior Springs) one year ahead of my class, and Lori ran track at Excelsior with my sister! Such a small world. They are such a sweet family and with Ella’s energy, she is sure to follow in her mother’s track team footsteps! 🙂
